Free Your Mind… and the Tech May Follow

Once the Desmos part is done, advance the Nearpod to present the last two open-ended questions to students. Or, you could throw a poll question here, or any other of Nearpod’s many tools. Magic. A Fork is not a Spoon
…ce we share the same time and space, whether in-person or virtually, I use Desmos activities to drive our live lessons. For us, Desmos is an experience, not a summative assessment. If students were to join a Desmos activity, and ask that age-old question, “Is this GRADED?” it would break my heart a little. They never ask me this because it’s not something we’ve ever done. Though my Algebra 1 sample size this year is very small (36 students to be exact) this round marks the first time that not a single student answered the first question by saying they prefer the TI calculator…!
